No. You and your match will have an opportunity to see a picture of one another during your video screening.

What if I'm not 'out' yet?

That's okay. You don't have to be fully out, or even partially out to date. Everyone’s situation is different: family, work, community—there are many reasons someone might be in your shoes. As a client, you can let us know how you want to handle showing pictures and sharing information with your match. Certain elements can be amended for privacy if need be. Members can share this information in their profile if applicable.

Do you serve clients outside of NYC?

Yes. Pride Matchmaking™ is a nationwide service.

What makes Pride Matchmaking™ LGBTQIA+ inclusive?

We're queer-founded and, over the past six years, we’ve interviewed thousands of LGBTQIA+ individuals about their love lives, dating histories, core values, and match preferences. We’ve learned that culturally competent matchmaking for LGBTQIA+ individuals requires a strong understanding of the community’s language and history. We’ve even developed supplemental training materials and workshops on LGBTQ+ inclusive matchmaking.
We are accountable to growing with and for our community.

How do you vet matches?

Matches are vetted in three steps.:
Step 1: Profile Review
Step 2: Video Screening
Step 3: Background Checks

Do you offer support for reporting harassment or inappropriate behavior?

Yes. The safety of our members is a top priority. In addition to our strict Community Guidelines, we want to hear from you if anything makes you feel uncomfortable. We're on-call during dates and available by phone for feedback conversations afterward. Members who behave inappropriately will be removed from the service.
